DC Lottery and the District of Columbia Health Advisory
The safety and the well-being of our players and team members is a top priority at the DC Lottery. We are closely monitoring the latest developments and following the guidance from the Mayor and other city officials, the Centers for Disease Control Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO). The District Department of Health recommended that non-essential mass gatherings, including conferences and conventions, be postponed or cancelled through March 31. As a result, the DC Lottery is suspending all promotional activities and its participation in community events until further notice.
In order to help our communities, feel confident about their health and safety, we are immediately:
- Ensuring easy access to hand sanitizers at the entrances to each of our spaces and providing a robust stock of soap and sanitizer at all handwashing sites in our facility.
- Coordinating with our cleaning company to ensure deep cleanings and careful attention to touch points and disinfecting during their midday and evening cleaning shifts.
- Intensifying and improving the way we clean and sanitize our facilities on a daily basis, including regularly disinfecting and wiping down touch points such as light switches, doorknobs, and flat surfaces.
DC Lottery is open and operating as normal. Game draws will occur as scheduled. Players can redeem winning tickets at our prize center (2235 Shannon Place, SE, Washington, DC 20020) weekdays from 8:00 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. or at any of our retailer plus locations (up to $5,000). We will announce updates on our website and on our social media accounts.
