How to Play
Pick up a The Lucky One play slip from your retailer. Fill out the play slip and hand it to your retailer to receive a ticket. Check your tickets carefully. The Lucky One tickets cannot be canceled.
- Multi-draw tickets are allowed.
- Cancellations are allowed (only at the terminal and only before the next drawing).
- Each ticket may also have a variation of bet types to include: High/Low and/or Odd/Even additional bet type options.
- Wager amounts for each bet type can vary by bet type.
- Each play will cost a minimum of $1. The maximum amount per play is $50.
- The maximum cost per ticket can be no greater than $208.00.
- The drawings are every four minutes between Drawings.
Choose Your Numbers
There are three ways to play The Lucky One
- Number Selection
- Hi/Low
- Odd/Even
Hi/Low
The player selects if the number drawn will be Hi (19-36) or Low (1-18) or uses the Quick Pick option.
Odd/Even
The player selects if the number drawn will be Odd (1,3,5,7,9,11,13,15,17,19,21,23,25,27,29,31,33,35) or Even (2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16,18,20,22,24,26,28,30,32,34,36) or uses the Quick Pick option.
Number Selection
- The player selects one number ranging from 1 to 36 or uses the Quick Pick option.
- Players will also have the option to select up to ten Lucky Numbers on a single ticket for an additional wager.

Drawings are held every four minutes, seven days a week, during the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. Check past winning numbers to see if you are a lucky winner.
The ticket, not the bet slip, shall be the only valid proof of the selections made and the only valid instrument for claiming a prize.
Players must be 18 years or older to purchase tickets.
By purchasing a ticket, you agree to be bound by all rules and regulations of the DC Lottery. By purchasing a ticket and submitting a prize claim, each potential winner grants the DC Lottery the right to use the winner’s name, city, county, state of residence, prize amount, and photograph or likeness to publicize their winnings. The potential winner also authorizes the DC Lottery to advertise and promote games or goodwill for the DC Lottery in any print, broadcast, electronic, Internet, or other form of media whatsoever, without further consideration.
Prizes must be claimed within 180 days from the date of the drawing.
Complete The Lucky One game rules may be obtained from the DC Lottery upon request.
