D.C. Man Is On a Winning Roll with DC 5
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Vattel Jackson, who currently resides in the nation’s capital, has achieved an impressive feat, winning a top DC 5 cash prize, not once but twice almost one year apart. On June 21, 2023, Jackson won a top prize of $25,000 playing DC 5. On June 18, 2024, he returned to the DC Lottery Prize Center to claim another $25,000 DC 5 win. Now, $50,000 richer, Jackson says he’s buying land.
“I was in shock!” Jackson exclaimed when asked his reaction to discovering his most recent big win.
Last year, he purchased his winning DC 5 ticket at 7-Eleven, 2850 Bladensburg Road NE, and his most recent ticket was purchased just five miles away at Jocelyn’s Market, 6404 Georgia Avenue NW, in the Brightwood neighborhood.
Jackson began playing the DC Lottery in 2007 and has been a dedicated player ever since. In a heartwarming twist, he revealed he played his aunt’s birthday on her actual birthday for this latest win, adding a personal touch to his winning strategy.
