Watch Live! DC Lottery Relaunches Race2Riches with Livestream and Team of New Updates

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Race2Riches—DC Lottery’s virtual horseracing game played in-store or online—gains new strides with trifecta of upgrades including livestream capability, expanded play types, and upgraded technology.

Players and spectators alike can now enjoy the excitement of Race2Races in-person at self-service terminals located at DC Lottery retailers, or from the convenience of desktop computers and personal digital devices with DCiLottery, the virtual gaming platform operated by the DC Lottery. Game upgrades include enhanced imaging that immerses viewers in the thrill of competition—from the anticipation of the starting gate to the rush to the finish line. And, play types have increased from six to 12, offering players the newly added Superfecta, Daily Double, and Exacta wager options. 

Introduced in 2010, Race2Riches is a computer animation game with lifelike jockeys and a stable of horses programmed with millions of different races. Twelve (12) horses compete per race, with each race lasting up to two minutes. Players win by matching their selected combinations to the winning results for that race. Depending on the play type, game participation costs as little as $0.10. Prizes are determined by the play type selected. The top prize for this game is $1,000,000.

“Players are already experiencing the rollout of upgrades for Race2Riches including the recently added livestream. The new graphics package offers players a bird’s eye view of the competitors lining up at the gate. When the starting dust settles, you hear the building excitement of the crowd, and feel the heart-pounding determination of jockey and steed as they gallop the track. It’s the next best thing to being in the grandstand,” said Executive Director Frank Suarez.

Race2Riches can be played at DC Lottery retail locations and online anytime via DCiLottery. Drawings are held every four minutes, seven days a week during the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. EST.
