D.C. Woman Nets Second Big Win with DC Scratchers
Now, $300,000 richer, she’s buying a new car.
WASHINGTON, D.C.—Sherri Fowler of Washington, D.C., won big after snagging the top prizes of two DC Scratcher games by DC Lottery. In February, she won a top prize of $50,000 playing Win it All. On June 4, she returned to the DC Lottery’s Prize Center to claim the remaining $250,000 top prize with Nothing But Cash. Now, $300,000 richer, Fowler says she’s buying a new car.
“I was at the store and started screaming. I couldn’t believe it. I had to ask my kids to double-check!” Fowler exclaimed when asked her reaction to discovering her most recent big win.
Fowler purchased her winning tickets from local retailers located one block apart in the Northwest neighborhood of Columbia Heights. The Win it All ticket was sold at Harvard Liquors, 901 Sherman Avenue, and the Nothing But Cash ticket was sold at Chevron EC-DC 711, 2830 Sherman Avenue.
“I’m going to get a car this time,” Fowler said, her voice filled with anticipation when asked what she planned to do with her latest winnings.
